Again.. sorry for non-Indonesian speaker coz once again I will write this mostly mix of Indonesian language and english.. Lately I’m having difficulties to sort of my mind in english.. I promise myself not to involve in the whole Hottest controversy regarding to the boycott thing.. I promise to distant myself from this kind of fandom.. a fandom that can hurt myself and other, and of course who hurt the one we actually cherih and love. I promise to stay away and just to look at it from afar.. But of course promises are meant to be broken.. The more I suppressed my self I’m getting more and more frustrated with what Hottest did and currently do. So here I am writing about my stand regarding the boycott of 6PM or 1:59 to ease my frustration.
People believe what they choose to believe. And when they already believe in something it’s hard to make them understand that there’s something else out there, something different from what they believe. Gw rasa kata-kata itu menggambarkan apa yang terjadi sama Hottest sekarang. Mereka memilih untuk mempercayai apa yang mereka pilih untuk percaya. Mereka percaya bahwa JYP tidak melindungi Jay sebagaimana mestinya company melindungi artisnya. Mereka memilih percaya bahwa JYP mengusir Jay pergi karena takut kehilangan uang. Mereka memilih percaya bahwa anggota 2PM lainnya juga mendukung aksi boycott mereka. Mereka memilih percaya bahwa 7-1 adalah 0. Mereka memilih percaya bahwa mereka sedang membantu 2PM. Mereka memilih percaya bahwa apa yang mereka lakukan ini untuk kebaikan 2PM ke depannya. Dan gw memilih untuk tidak percaya apa yang mereka percaya.
I really did try to understand their stand. I really did try to understand the reason why they are boycotting JYPE and the six. I really did try to put myself in their shoes.. like what if this happened to my oppa (Shinhwa).. how will I react? (But I can’t imagine that because.. my oppa will not break up just like that.. if it did happened.. which I really really doubt.. it will happened based on their mutual agreement so.. yeah it’s hard to put my self in Hottest shoes right now). Anyway.. I did try to understand the other party before I spoke my mind and decided to againts them.
I agree with these fans in some point that they try to make. Like how they want a clear statement from JYPE regarding Jay and 2PM future. To show to the company that fans also have power here so that the company shouldn’t make careless decision. But unfortunatly the saying that sometimes good intention will turn to be bad really did apply in this case. Niat baik yang semula untuk mencari keadilan berubah menjadi perang memperebutkan kekuasaan. Sorry if I offend you guys.. but that is what I see from this battle. Terus terang gw melihat perang tidak berkesudahan antara Hottest vs JYPE ini malah menjadi perang kekuasaan, menentukan siapa yang lebih berkuasa atas nasib 7 boys who dream to be a star. Tentu saja dalam setiap perang perebutan kekuasaan akan selalu ada tumbal. Dan tumbal dalam perang ini adalah 2PM boys.
Boycott itu tujuannya untuk menjamin 2PM tetap 7 orang. Jika nanti 2PM jalan dengan 6 orang dan sukses, JYP tidak akan lagi punya alasan untuk membawa Jay kembali. Kalau kita mendukung 6 orang itu artinya kita menghianati our leader. Please wake up people.. if you keep boycotting 6PM or 1:59 or whatever you like to called, there would be a very very small chance of 2PM to be able to comeback. Lihat saja banyak band baru yang debut dan tiba-tiba sudah punya fanbase yang kuat. Apa kalian pikir Hottest segitu kuatnya? Coba tengok kanan dan kiri kalian tanya teman-teman kalian.. oke.. yang kuat akan tetap bertahan dan mendukung 2PM without wavering.. tapi gw rasa akan banyak yang capek dengan segala kontroversi 2PM dan memilih untuk pergi.. Those who join fanclub ingin merasa punya keluarga dan kalau dalam keluarga yang ada selalu pertengkaran dan kontroversi will you willing to stay till the end? Most people don’t. Dan holla.. there will come a day when you turn to you left and right side but you found no one stand beside you anymore. Oke gw akui gw pesimis di sini.. but you must admit that people interest are changing so quickly.. Orang cepat kehilangan interest apalai kalau ada banyak hal baru. Hottest mungkin memang kuat tapi publik tida. Dan hottest.. do you really think that 2PM can really stand without public acceptance?
You guys want Jay back.. but what if in the end there’s no longer place to come back? Apa kalian tidak memikirkan kalau memang JYP more in to money than his apprentice, JYP bisa saja membubarkan 2PM kalau album baru yang mereka keluarkan ini ga laku. Dari sudut pandang bisnis buat apa terus memasarkan dan mengeluarkan cost untuk produk yang ga laku dan hanya menimbulkan kerugian? Kalian mungkin akan bilang rugi dong biaya training.. Gw sih bilang yah namanya juga resiko bisnis.. Pas HYP mentraining anak2 itu dia juga sudah memperhitungkan kerugian.. Lagi pula JYP juga punya sister company (Cube people?).. simpan yang mau di simpan seperti mungkin Junsu atau Khun atau siapa aja dan buang sisanya ke Cube.. suruh istirahat (training ronde 2) selama setahunan lalu keluarin dengan anggota baru atau solo. See? In the end Hottest got nothing (like what they always want 7-1=0) and JYP still can get his money back just in longer term.
Being successfull without one member around is not the end of the world. It’s not betraying.. It’s securing the place that the one left. Gw bisa bilang begitu karena ada contoh hidup. Shinhwa people??? Buat kalian fans-fans baru Kpop pasti ga tahu. Tapi Andy oppa pernah hiatus dari Shinhwa dan Shinhwa mengalami masa sukses justru setelah Andy oppa pergi. Dan apakah mereka meninggalkan oppa? Nope!! The bring back Andy oppa to Shinhwa and become the legend. Selama masa hiatus Andy oppa, Oppa duriel selalu menyebut nama Andy oppa dan mengingatkan publik kalau Shinhwa is 6. Dan yang luar biasa Shinhwa changjo mendukung aktivitas mereka dan membuat Shinhwa yang semula looser menjadi daebak.. That’s what I called true fans!! Fans percaya kalau members ga akan meninggalkan Andy oppa dan mereka mendukung 5 orang itu untuk mencapai tangga sukses dan menyediakan jalan untuk Andy oppa buat kembali. Yang gw bener2 heran kenapa Hottest ga percaya sama members 2PM? Mereka jelas2 melihat Hotblood. Dan jelas2 melihat bagaimana 2PM yang sudah seperti brothers. Ada Hottest bilang they help the boys to bring back their leader by boycotting because the boys are hurting without their hyung. Tapi kenapa Hottest seakan ga mempercayai 6PM? Mereka bilang seakan kalau 6PM sukses mereka akan lupa sama hyung mereka. Mereka akan meninggalkan Jay dan sukses sendiri? Segitu kecilnya kah kepercayaan Hottest terhadap bond between 2PM members?
Terus terang gw ga terkesan sama sekali dengan apa yang Hottest lakukan. Tapi tau ah.. gw akan duduk diam saja dan melihat perkembangan siapa yang akan menang dalam perebutan kekuasaan ini..

One that I notice, I found few good article about why we should stopp boycotting but I never rally found a good article about why we should boycotting.
